   Food was amazing as always! We had kipper croquettes and smoked trout for starters - both excellent! Then smoked trout and cod/lobster bisque for mains - so good! Recommend some chips to mop up the rich bisque. The service was not up to its usual top standards but think they may be training new staff. Service was a bit slower than previous visits but still very welcoming and did not spoil the visit. We'll be back again next Valentine's!

   Excellent food, by far the best steak we have eaten, all food was extremely tasty and cooked well. Our waiter was superb. very friendly, helpful and always smiling. The only fault we have is from when we were seated, we were near a family with young children, the person who took us to our table felt the need to tell us they were going in 30 minutes, for us this was not necessary and came across that the young children were considered a nuisance (however this may not have been the intention) a better way to have approached this would have been to ask if we were happy to be seated near young children of which we have no issue.

   Having recently moved to Hertford many of our friends and neighbours recommended this place so we just had to try it. The food was amazing, service was great - lovely and very helpful staff. It was very noisy when we arrived at 7pm but got less busy within the hour. Will definitely be booking again.

   Great venue, but when busy/full, the noise levels can ramp up quite a bit especially if young families insist on bringing babies/young children in the evenings. As ever, the staff are friendly and attentive, always trying to help the evening pass in style. Still our favoured venue in Hertford.

   This was my first experience at a Lussmanns restaurant and Lussmanns Hertford was a lovely experience. The manager was able to kindly reseat us, as I wanted to sit further into the restaurant. The food was delicious. I had the Cornish cod and market vegetables and apple crumble with a rather nice dessert wine to finish. Our waiter was very professional and provided a great service. I will definitely be back, there are so many things on the menu I would love to try.

   Lovely meal, would be nice to have a bit more variety and some vegetarian options, not just vegan

   A latest visit confirmed my wife’s and my view that Lussmanns is the best restaurant in Hertford. Inevitably we had the Cornish sole (terrific - areal treat) followed by chocolate mousse and bread-and-butter pudding respectively. A really nice, welcoming atmosphere added to the pleasure. Highly recommended
