Another great experience at Catch LA. From the moment we were greeted outside, until we exited the restaurant to get into our Uber, the service was exceptional, as usual. There isn’t a bad table in this beautiful restaurant, and the ambiance is lively and welcoming. Our server, Michael, took wonderful care of us. Our favorite menu items are the crispy brussels w/ pomegranate seeds, truffle sashimi, and crunchy rice cakes. The only downsides were 1) the lobster mac & chz is for some crazy reason off the menu, and 2) the seasonal “hit me” cake, though creative, is nowhere near as delicious as the original. Otherwise a perfect evening.

Delicious swordfish plate and pulled pork sandwich were superb. We didn’t want the meal to end because every bite was so scrumptious! Mai Tai’s, coconut shrimp appetizer, and a fantastic Hula Pie with Kioki coffees ended our meal just perfectly! And the view was spectacular from the patio. Can’t say enough good things about our birthday celebration meal! Highly recommend for lunch or dinner while in San Diego seeking the island vibe.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday lunch enjoying the shrimp and lobster bisque, a huge and delicious prime rib French dip, fries and au jus, while I enjoyed the perfectly prepared fresh halibut over a bed of delicately sautéed spinach on a bed of mashed potatoes with a light gravy, absolutely delicious and a large portion, doggy bag for later. Our waitress was professional, friendly and amenable in every way! She highly recommended the halibut, thank you. Side note: we recognized, renowned Chef Jeffrey Strauss, need I say of Pamplamousse , was enjoying lunch. Highly recommended great menu apps and entrees. We were too full for dessert that menu looked amazing too.

Tom Hams is a great all around restaurant. Parking is plentiful & free. The view is amazing. Our server Ricardo was so attentive. He was asking us about what we needed before we could even ask him. And most importantly - the food is reasonably priced and delicious. We started with appetizers - calamari, Brussel sprouts and cauliflower. All were yummy. And our entrees were great too. I had the paella (they subbed out the mussels which I appreciated). The other ladies were happy with their selections too (yellow fin, raw bar & scallops). Just a great night!!!!
