Love the ambiance of this place! I highly recommend the beef tataki and hummus starters! They were so delicious! The pumpkin seed brittle on the beet & goat cheese salad was a fun surprise. We didn't realize they closed between lunch and supper, and the service was superb regardless.

The place is beautiful. The only point is the price for an additionnal coffee. Normally, in the hotel, the refill for filter coffee is free.

We went to Blu on Avenue Road for our 3rd anniversary dinner and had a quiet romantic table on the ground floor. Staff went out of their way to explain the menu and our choices. It was clear that they were very loyal and loved their jobs and the place. They did give us some quiet time too. Then we were told the restaurant was about to close because of a huge rent increase at their lease renewal. We hope the new location opening on King Street West will come close to the beautiful spacious building on Avenue Road. Even if it does not we will be there because the food and service is so good. We each had an amazing scallop appetizer and we were glad we did not split it and had our own. For main courses the pasta, lamb and beef tenderloin were cooked to perfection. We were too full for ordering dessert but they brought a tiramisu to share and we were able to finish before leaving happy. We can’t wait to return to the new location in May.

I had the tasting menu which was extremely expensive. The food was very professionally made using a variety of techniques for example, sun chokes served three ways, puréed, baked and crisped. The presentation was impeccable. Most of the food was excellent. I’d say some meals were not balanced and included flavours I did not enjoy. The marshmallow with the candy cap mushroom flavour was not to my taste. My guest ate my portion. The egg dish was superb. All in all it was a great experience. Not sure I had value for the price.

Service was good and food was generally good. the chicken liver tartine should have had the pickled cherry more dispersed as it did not lend itself to the full taste with only a couple half cherries on the toast. The pork rillettes was fine, but had the same issue with the quince. The bison tartare had a bitterness to it that i thought was the endive at first, but was coming from the actual tartare mix. The pan roasted hen came with mushrooms instead of the grilled beans it showed on the menu; however we though th mushrooms where a great choice.

Forever a fave. Especially when hosting an out of town guest! Had a delicious meal, as always. Pan fried haddock was done like no other pan fried haddock I’ve ever had. Flavourful & unique flavours! Left room for some fantastic crème brûlée!

Once we arrived our table was ready immediately, service/food/drinks/atmosphere were on point. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Montreal, certainly a must stop.

We had gambas al ajillo to share, my husband asked for an entree octopus and I chose the yummy halibut , and we shared a delicious Portuguese pastel de Nata . Vino Verde and beer. I always choose this restaurant for celebrating my bday as it gives me pleasure in eating their savoury fish and desserts.

Andrei knew from prior visit that wagyu carpaccio is sublime and wasn’t disappointed, so was I. Tuna appetizer is must to try, so many moving parts, looks surreal and tastes the same. Penne ala vodka is the stable dish, probably is the reason to come back. Anton loved special scallops while I savoured branzino with grilled oyster mushrooms. Jessica was amazing, Zia thank you for such a wonderful dinner. Thanks to the team.

Insanely great dinner! Anton suggested that negroni is the best he ever tasted, I enjoyed gin martini, slightly dirty. My boyfriend and I went to celebrate my birthday and it was a wonderful experience and the staff were extremely sweet and friendly. Always a pleasure to come back, it’s why this is my favourite restaurant in the city.
