Perfect. The staff had addressed everything. The specialty drinks; wonderful. And then the food... each and every item was a gastronomic surprise...incredible! The Tambourine Room by Tristan Brandt, nestled within Carillon Miami Wellness Resort, offers an intimate 12-seat fine dining journey that reimagines modern classic French cuisine with refined Asian influences.

The restaurant marks Chef Brandt’s debut in the U.S. after years of honing his culinary point of view and receiving numerous awards and accolades, including leading multiple Michelin-starred restaurants. In 2013 when he was the head chef at OPUS V the restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars and at the time he was the youngest chef in Germany to lead a two-star kitchen. Vladimir was the most attentive and charming server paired with the genius level food made the experience unforgettable. The pastry chef even sent us home with an additional cake to eat the next day.
The Tambourine Room by Tristan Brandt, nestled within Carillon Miami Wellness Resort, offers an intimate 12-seat fine dining journey that reimagines modern classic French cuisine with refined Asian influences.

The restaurant marks Chef Brandt’s debut in the U.S. after years of honing his culinary point of view and receiving numerous awards and accolades, including leading multiple Michelin-starred restaurants. In 2013 when he was the head chef at OPUS V the restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars and at the time he was the youngest chef in Germany to lead a two-star kitchen. More recently, in 2022 Epoca by Tristan Brandt in Switzerland was awarded one Michelin star.

A pursuit for knowledge was the stimulus and continues to be the driving force behind Chef Niven’s career. Ghee means PURE and has a symbolic meaning both spiritually and in the kitchen of an Indian home. The restaurant encompass traditional Indian home cooking, ingredient driven using local artisan purveyors. Chef Niven highlights the experience of dining at Ghee: "I want to my guests to walk into Ghee with the sense of entering my home. I want them to feel at home. I want them to smell the aromas and spices and get more engaged in their meal. One of the things that I always tell my cooks is, ask questions, be inquisitive if you don’t know. I want the same for my guests."

On Monday, 4/21/25, I went for an early dinner with a friend. I hadn't been to Ghee in several years, so I was looking forward to it. I won't get into the specifics of the food; it was uniformly great. The service for most of the dinner was terrific. It seemed that the three waitpersons were working as a team (1 lady, 2 gentlemen). We each got the tasting menu (usually $62 but was $50 for Monday evening). It was wonderful. It could have been a little spicier but that's just me. So why 4 stars instead of 5? After our main courses, it almost as seemed that the servers had forgotten about us. It took an eternity for dessert to come and subsequently, the check. I know there were a few occupied tables outside, and only 3 tables (counting us) inside. I don't think they were "in the weeds." In the back of their minds, they probably thought we were happily chatting (true) but that's no reason for the 15-20 minute lag before the last course. The one wrinkle in the entire experience. Each of the servers was very polite and did a good job describing the various dishes and were well-versed in the specifics of each dish. I DO recommend this place wholeheartedly. Just keep an eye on the time!
