Love the ambiance of this place! I highly recommend the beef tataki and hummus starters! They were so delicious! The pumpkin seed brittle on the beet & goat cheese salad was a fun surprise. We didn't realize they closed between lunch and supper, and the service was superb regardless.

We had a great dinner and would definitely recommend Belgrade Kitchen. The food and atmosphere were fantastic. The only caveat is the neighborhood...we walked from our hotel about 15 minutes away and the neighborhood went from Gastown to a street of run down buildings and street residents...

We went to Blu on Avenue Road for our 3rd anniversary dinner and had a quiet romantic table on the ground floor. Staff went out of their way to explain the menu and our choices. It was clear that they were very loyal and loved their jobs and the place. They did give us some quiet time too. Then we were told the restaurant was about to close because of a huge rent increase at their lease renewal. We hope the new location opening on King Street West will come close to the beautiful spacious building on Avenue Road. Even if it does not we will be there because the food and service is so good. We each had an amazing scallop appetizer and we were glad we did not split it and had our own. For main courses the pasta, lamb and beef tenderloin were cooked to perfection. We were too full for ordering dessert but they brought a tiramisu to share and we were able to finish before leaving happy. We can’t wait to return to the new location in May.

I had the tasting menu which was extremely expensive. The food was very professionally made using a variety of techniques for example, sun chokes served three ways, puréed, baked and crisped. The presentation was impeccable. Most of the food was excellent. I’d say some meals were not balanced and included flavours I did not enjoy. The marshmallow with the candy cap mushroom flavour was not to my taste. My guest ate my portion. The egg dish was superb. All in all it was a great experience. Not sure I had value for the price.

Complement the server for coming to tell us about the wine and charcuterie tray deal. The server was very patient as our guest was late due to a traffic tie up. We could visit until it was obvious that closing time was nearing. All in all a lovely afternoon.

Complement the server for coming to tell us about the wine and charcuterie tray deal. The server was very patient as our guest was late due to a traffic tie up. We could visit until it was obvious that closing time was nearing. All in all a lovely afternoon.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Keg. Our food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Our server was friendly and attentive. My husband and I had traded pieces of our steaks, and our server asked me if the steak was cooked to my liking since it looked too red to be medium well - I was surprised she noticed and explained we had exchanged bites. The shrimp cocktail was so fresh and delicious. I also enjoyed the gin basil lemonade. My filet with cauliflower mash was so tasty, and I loved my wedge salad. We shared a mini crème brûlée for dessert since we were already stuffed - it was just right. Then we walked back and forth to sunset beach to burn off all those calories!! It is pricey, but worth the splurge for a special occasion.

About the food, my 15 year old said “this is a lot like Cactus Club, but with Ranch!” So NTNL keep that Ranch dip coming, one of the most important condiments- at least for my kid. 😉

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and had an absolutely amazing experience. Our server was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and on point. We were pleasantly surprised by how quickly our food arrived; everything came out much faster than expected. We started with the mussels in a tomato-based sauce, which were full of flavor and perfectly cooked. For our mains, my husband had the lamb and I ordered the tenderloin — both were incredibly delicious and beautifully prepared. Highly recommend this place! We’ll definitely be coming back.
