The prime rib wasn’t warm but cold. All the so called hot food was barely room temperature. The breads/rolls looked as though they were bought at Safeway. The coffee tasted as though it was made 3 hrs. ago. . I expected the atmosphere in the dining room to be decorated with fresh spring like flowers or any decorations but it looked dark and dull. The whole experience was a waste of time and money. Too bad . One would think that on a special occasion like Easter Sunday it would feel special. It failed on all fronts except for our waiter.

Food choices and preparation very mediocre. Uncomfortable seating with wobbly table made it a very poor Easter brunch experience.

I feel like I just set fire to $250. The decor is dated, shabby, and a bit grimy. The staff tries, and they are attentive, but they’re also a little unkempt and shabby. The food was meager and not even mediocre. Nothing was fresh or made on premises. I could have gotten better pastries at Walmart or Costco. I forced myself to eat it, because I paid for it, but I feel so icky now. We paid $95 each for tea, champagne that we didn’t want (but it was included), a few tiny tea sandwiches on mushy white bread, some filled with just tuna and mayo, others filled with just egg and mayo; a couple of boring biscuits, an ice cube-sized square of cheesecake, a blueberry tartlet the size of a dresser knob, and a small handful of miniature macarons. Everything was bland, boring and kind of stale. Estimated value: $14.99 each (max). A service charge of twenty percent was automatically added to the bill, before tax. Save your money!

We had an absolutely delightful tea! We were more than happy to help with the emergency that appeared at hand. I was proud to be a Stanford nurse and to enjoy your lovely tea. Your staff was absolutely amazing! I am looking forward to returning soon!

We were so looking forward to celebrating our daughter's birthday with high tea at The Fairmont. Sadly, we were informed you no longer have it on Sunday afternoon. We had a lovely brunch with four of Caitlin’s friends. Our server was wonderful, drinks delicious and our food was exceptional. I do, however, encourage you to bring back the tea. There’s just something very special about a tea on Sunday with your daughter.

The ambiance was delightful, and the overall dining experience was enjoyable. However, the taste and menu selections fell somewhat short of expectations. The service provided by the staff was excellent, though vegetarian options were limited.

The Laurel Court completely exceeded our expectations. It’s hard to know what you’re going to get at a hotel restaurant. Even at a Fairmont! All 8 of us were extremely happy with our lunches. Club sandwiches, Caesar salad, a bruschetta appetizer, side salads, hot and fresh french fries. Everything was delicious. It isn’t inexpensive, but we had a lovely time and will absolutely come back the next time we have an occasion to!

We loved having tea here! It was a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday too. Fermin made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make our experience special. Thank you Fermin!

Fermin our waiter was terrific. He was personable and helpful. Disappointed that the clientele was casual and sloppy. The site said “business attire” yet worn-out sweat pants, tennis shoes and baseball caps were worn by most. Not hip sweat pants, tennis shoes and caps…meh. Enjoyed Michael the piano player; his music was well curated. The hotel is lovely but worn in some areas. For the price of the tea $$$ they could have had table clothes that covered the old tables. Or, at least the table could have had the jelly cleaned off before we sat down. The plate of food was set in top of it. Would not recommend. Once again, Fermin was lovely.
