Just a few steps from the hustle and bustle of Yonge and Bloor, Bumpkin’s has been a local landmark since 1971, serving the very best in French continental cuisine with an old world Parisian feel. The newly updated two-story Victorian house has a handsomely sophisticated interior, featuring two fireplaces and a set of crystal chandeliers, that once graced the interior of the Royal York Hotel, and beautiful pieces of art throughout the restaurant. During the spring and summer months, Bumpkins offers an outdoor dining experience on their terrace, complete with a view of Norman Jewison parkette. Distinct to the menu is a selection of masterfully conceived dishes ranging from the baked garlic butter escargot bourguignon to veal chop with mushrooms to the steamed fresh P.E.I mussels. All of the fine fair can be accompanied by a selection from the extensive cocktails and wine list.

Avelo Restaurant is located in a heritage townhouse on a quiet street in Yorkville and serves some of the city's finest plant-based cuisine. Our aim is to deliver an extraordinary and immersive dining experience where the servers guide guests through an exploration of many small plates highlighting seasonal ingredients while offering insight into each dish. We also offer an optional wine pairing and are able to accommodate many dietary restrictions with advance notice.Avelo hosts two dinner seatings per evening where guests choose between the 5-course or the 8-course* tasting menu.     Love the ambience and food but honestly the downstairs is a small , tight space and conversation alone is enough noise. Music was far too loud. Volume be a lot lower.

    The in-house made charcuterie board was delightful; I'll be going back for the vegan blue cheese, vegan camambert, and house-baked bread as soon as possible! Avelo Bar - I'll deal with Toronto traffic any day to visit you :) Intimate, relaxed, upscale and stylish ambiance presenting incredibly tasty, animal-free menu items. Eat green, eat well, eat in style at Avelo bar!
