Restaurants near St. Peter's Square

While in Rome visiting my daughter, I had a night on my own and treated myself to the 7 course tasting menu and wine pairing at Taverna Angelica. Each course was elegantly prepared and better than the last. The wine pairings were also spot on. I was well taken care of by the staff. A real treat.

Overall food was good but the cheesecake was best I have ever had!

Food, staff, vibe and views were excellent. A definite must when visiting Roma.

We are not fans of "tourist trap" restaurants. This one did not disappoint. The food was scratch made and AMAZING. I had the fried zucchini flowers as an appetizer. They were crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. The cacio e pepe my husband and I split was phenomenal. We got the tiramisu for dessert and it was delicious. We enjoy sitting outside and the area is definitely a little back alley- lots of graffiti making it not as pretty as some of the areas nearby. The food and incredible service made up for it. Recommend sitting inside, the interior is charming. We love eating in places where locals eat, and this was one of them. Highly recommend!!!

Delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. Service was impeccable, friendly but not overbearing. Excellent fish, lovely wine appropriately chosen by our waiter.
