The White Oak Tavern is a family-owned business, operated by a brother & sister that are Ellicott City locals. The menu includes seasonal scratch made items, sustainable meats & produce from local farms and purveyors. The White Oak Burger is a community favorite and has been recognized as the best burger in Howard County for several years. The outdoor patio is dog friendly with a special dog menu. The bar has 42 rotating craft beers with a wide selection of styles with a free-to-join mug club. This includes a specialty cocktail menu with different seasonal ingredients along with a fresh mocktail menu. The Tavern offers brunch seven days a week with bottomless brunch cocktails and Sunday jazz brunch from 11am-2pm. On Friday & Saturday local musicians perform from 8-11pm.     I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The pasta was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The roasted Brussels sprouts were a fantastic side, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. The Maryland crab soup was the highlight—rich, hearty, and packed with fresh, flavorful crab. The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure everything was perfect. The combination of great food and excellent service made this meal truly memorable. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!

    Our vote for Howard County’s Number One Best Overall Dining Venue — The Food Market! We reserved Easter Brunch for our family and, in an Open Table message area, we requested two special dishes from the dinner menu to honor the memory of a family member. As we were seated and ordered drinks, both special dishes appeared at the table unannounced, without asking, and with smiles! This was a very gracious and much appreciated gesture by The Food Market chef and management that brightened our family holiday brunch. Best food presented in a fun atmosphere by Lucia, our smiling and personable server…Thanks!
