Sassafras is an intimate, fine-dining restaurant overlooking Betterton Beach that celebrates Mid-Atlantic and Chesapeake seafood. Join us, won't' you?Led by Chef Paul Edward, we are currently open for our Preview Dinner Series—a limited run of intimate, chef-led evenings held at our six-seat chef’s counter and a single table in the dining room, available through May. Beginning in June, Sassafras will fully open with one dinner seating per night for 20 guests, four nights a week.Located in a restored bayside cottage in Betterton, Sassafras offers a 12-course tasting menu inspired by the rhythms of the Chesapeake and the surrounding region.Seating is limited, and reservations are required.
