   I booked this for my birthday & made a note of it on the reservation hoping for a good seat & we were shoved in a tiny spot in the corner. Also showed up for the reservation on time & had to wait at least 20 minutes so that was disappointing.

   first time to a Japanese restaurant in sometime and it did not disappoint! The Service was excellent, the food was excellent - we had 4 orders of different Sushi and the Sushi eaters all very much enjoyed them; I had the Tonkastu - breaded pork cutlet with tempura vegetables, very tasty. Deserts were interesting and tasty; prices very reasonable; first time here but we will be back

   The sukiyaki we had was incredible 8.5/10 delicious. The vegetable tempura 3/10. The batter was thick like a corndog. no crisp, no crunch, thick, looked white, not golden brown. I have been to the Kyoto dozens of times for the last 20 years. I will only go back for the sukiyaki...

    Food here is always amazing! Very quick on appetizers and main rolls. Only issue we had was our server was rushing us a lot. When we sat she immediately ran up and asked us want appetizers and rolls we wanted. I haven’t even had a chance to put my purse down let alone look at the menu. When we told her we needed a couple minutes she walked away but came back literally 30 seconds later to ask us again what we wanted to order. We ended up just ordering a quick appetizer so she would leave us alone. Then after a couple minutes we ordered our rolls. Halfway through eating our rolls she came and put the check on the table without asking if we wanted anything else. We were going to get dessert but at that point we just wanted to get out of there.
