Knickerbocker is known for its great Jazz and its 28 oz. T- Bone Steaks and is a favorite among many celebrities including F. Murray Abraham, Chris Noth and Alec Baldwin. Racheal Ray listed us in her "NYC Favorites" and has praised our Shrimp Cocktail, Creamed Spinach, and of course our T- Bone Steaks.
The word "Knickerbocker" itself, says "New York". Upon entering, you’ll know you're in the Village. Its wood paneled walls sport rare turn of the century posters and original caricatures by Al Hirschfeld. Large leather booths line the walls and brass rails accent the 100 year old marble bar, where Charles Lindbergh signed his Trans Atlantic contract.
We have survived the times by using the freshest ingredients from local markets, and offering good solid value and quality.

Entertainment
Knickerbocker has had "Live Jazz" since the days when the village had "Live Jazz". Harry Connick Jr. got his start here, back in the late 80"s. Names like Junior Mance, Bucky Pizzarelli and Ben Wolf now show up on our schedule.We have live jazz on Friday & Saturday nights, starting at 9:45pm till 2:00am. There is a small $3.50 cover charge at the tables after 10:15 pm, or just stop in at the bar for a drink, with no cover.

The Knick NEVER disappoints. A friendly, welcoming atmosphere with great food and very good jazz music on Fridays and Saturdays. This place is awesome.

I used to go somewhat often but this was the first time back in maybe ten years. Some of the same faces and friendly atmosphere. Food is alway outstanding and our waiter was superb and knew so much about the menu. If you get a chance - go! Then go again. Make reservations. Love it!!!!

Thank you to Jonathan for exceptional service on a special day. Everything was great, the t-bone for two was excellent, short ribs tender and the lamb was amazing.

Super delish chopped salad, crab cakes, cinnamon chicken plus Santa Fe Snowball dessert. Each menu item was great, food was delivered quickly with smiley attentive service. Fantastic meal. Hospitable effective hosting too. Yahoo.

The service was fabulous. Our waitress was wonderful and so friendly. The food was very good. The rabbi was funny and the Seder was a lot of fun. This was my third year We will come back every year especially for the seder.

This is the third year my friend and I have gone to Knickerbocker‘s for their mini Passover Seder. The rabbi is very funny and entertaining. The Seder is about 45 minutes long with lots of music. You get some food before the Seder and then the main meal and dessert after the Seder. So first you get gefilte fish, chopped liver, and matzoh ball soup. All very good. After the Seder you get your main (I got the salmon, which was perfectly cooked medium, with rice and an absolutely delicious sauce) and then a fabulous, very moist, chocolate cake for dessert. The service was terrific. The young lady we had couldn’t have been nicer. I highly recommend this event and have every intention of going there again next year. Thank you Knickerbocker for hosting this Passover Seder.

The food for the Passover Seder was delicious, especially the matzoh balls and the chicken, to die for! Our waiter was extremely attentive and upbeat. It's a great place, and we will return there soon!
