   We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday and we were set up at a big round table which help to keep the conversation flowing and the vibes cheerful. The weather was gorgeous and the sat us next to a large open double door so that we were out of the sun but able to fully enjoy the nice warm breeze. Service, food and drinks were all very good and had a nice pace.

   Our waitress Ashley was amazing and the food was delicious. I had Steak and Lobster, both were cooked to perfection. My BF had the combo platter, didn’t care much for the fish, but scallops and shrimp were delicious. Will definitely be back!

   Enjoyed another great dinner while we were in town visiting our son. Love the hot sour dough bread with whipped butter to start our meal! Menu is very large with a very diverse mixture of options. Service is superb and our meals were memorable!

   King’s used to be one of our favorite restaurants. Over the past year it has been hit and miss; sometimes excellent and sometimes not so good. Last night we were celebrating a birthday. We requested a booth in the bar in our reservation. As we arrived, they gave the last booth in the bar to a walk in. We waited for 20 minutes for another and finally agreed to be seated. We ordered oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer. It was close to inedible. We ordered a salad that never showed up. Dinner was not bad but for a birthday we were hoping for a better experience.

    Visit everytime we stay at GVR; never had a bad experience. Michael our server was terrific. Love their 'specials' in this case Wild Alaskan Halibut.
