Located in the Chambers Grant Salon in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House at the Denver Performing Arts Complex, Kevin Taylor’s at the Opera House serves pre-theater cocktails and dinner on evenings with performances in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, Buell Theater and/or Boettcher Concert Hall.

Also, for private events, Kevin Taylor Catering serves all of the unique spaces within the Opera House. These include the new, sophisticated, exposed-brick 8,000 sq. ft. Studio Loft space, as well as the Chambers-Grant Salon, an extraordinary 11,600 sq. ft. space featuring twinkling fiber optic ceilings, exposed stone walls, full stage and luxurious finishes.

We had an early dinner before Hamilton. It could not have been more lovely. The room was quiet, with space between tables so it was easy to hold a conversation. The service was impeccable, yet comfortable, at once formal and informal. The food was absolutely wonderful. Our server was careful to get us in and out in plenty of time to make the performance. It was just a terrific dining experience.

My husband and I love this place!! The crab cakes were not good but everything else was very good. We brought a couple with us who had never been. They rated it 8 out of 10. We were celebrating my birthday. We came for my husband's birthday and the waiter was extremely attentive and remembered to wish him a happy birthday. This time the service was not as good, but hey that happens. We love coming here so when you are open to the public, we try to be there. And great chimichurri sauce!

Dinner before seeing "Hamilton". Service was very good, but did forget to deliver an extra soup spoon. The meals had great flavor, but the beets were very underdone...couldn't cut them with a knife. Otherwise it makes for a great dining experience and well worth going there for dinner. You should try it if you haven't already.

My wife and I both felt our meals were subpar. Her halibut was over cooked, and my crabcakes tasted Like they had been cooked at too high a temp. The jus for my lamb tasted a bit “chemically.” On the other hand, the wait staff was outstanding! In fact, it was the best service we have gotten at any restaurant.

Filet was more like pot roast. Average food (standard potatoes and crab cakes). Interesting ambiance that was not originally designed as restaurant, but unique - very open and large space with costumes from the plays and musicals at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. Easy to get reservation last minute on a Friday night before the show (Hamilton)...

Great service, good cocktails and the food was excellent. We did the 3 course menu prior to a show. They served us at a nice pace that got us to the play on time. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

After 32years of theater tickets, we finally made it to Kevin Taylor's at the Opera and the meal was amazing. The setting, the staff and the food we're all flawless. I can't wait to go again next time they are open and will continue to go to the other restaurants in the group.
