   We went for Mother's Day dinner and had an excellent experience. We will definitely go back!

   The food was delicious. The waiter was very professional. We moved our table 3x until we got the perfect location within the restaurant. They were very accommodating about our seating preference. Authentic seafood cooked perfectly in delicious sauce. Salad a bit pricey but delicious and ample serving. It was our anniversary, which they were advised of prior to our arrival but no special accommodations were provided. All in all we enjoyed our dinner very much and will definitely return

   A wonderful alternative to the more touristy places on Sanibel. Real authentic Italian cuisine. I enjoyed shrimp tempura in a sauce as my appetizer. Not sure how Italian, but it was most excellent. For my entree, the veal marsala did not disappoint. Its a small place... in an old Florida cottage, so make reservations.

   Look no further. We totally loved this small mom and pop romantic type restaurant. We will go back.

   In the past, we have had good experiences here but put latest visit this past week was disappointing!!! The service was good but the food was very disappointing. The food not only didn't taste good but the portions were too small. To pay the type of prices, get poor food and then walk away hungry is a shame.

   Every year my sister and I come to Sanibel and very year we have dinner at Il Tesoro. Love the food! The owners are delightful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

   Excellent date destination. Small place with an open kitchen where you smell the aroma of the food while your stomach rumbles in anticipation. The drive up appeal on your first visit will be deceptive. So look closely, it is right there. This has become one of the places on our "date night" list

   Too small & tables too close. Our dinner was ruined by a couple next to us -he couldn't stop trying to "sell" the woman on vacations-then he started talking to everyone around him because the tables were WAY too close together. The "tempura " (odd term in an Italian Restaurant) appetizer with "sweet & sour" sauce was soggy -the only good part was the fried arugula. The sauce was nothing more than balsamic with red pepper flakes. The bread was stale & hard, my shrimp & crab ravioli were gummy & fishy and the short rib over gnocchi was way too hard to eat -plus it was very dry. The wines had no vintages on the menu (which is a pet peeve of mine). Wouldn't return. I am convinced after dining many places on Sanibel that the best food is on the mainland, (where we are at) & that most beach towns have food that is just so-so (since tourists are stuck there anyway) and not worth driving to.

    Food was fantastic, especially the special fish of Sea Bass atop risotto and I had the Fettucine Mare Monte ... The pear and Gorgonzola on grilled bread atop green salad was also excellent. Service was phenomenal and all dishes cooked correctly and as explained on the menu and by the server. This is my second visit to the restaurant. We went early this time, so the noise was not an issue, but if the dining room is full it is a trifle loud.
