   I had friends visiting to celebrate an 87th birthday. I told the staff and nothing was said. The service was terrible but when we finally received the food, it was good. There was a screaming child nearby throughout the entire meal. We will not go back.

   Second time during are visit. Waiter forgot the wine, and also didn’t pour the wine timely. Empty glass for long time so we poured it ourselves: Also forgot one of our order and was included in the pay. Everything was very late. The first time visit to hy’s was wonderful. Of course the waiter was excellent. Because of the high class restaurant, we was expecting that level to all waiter.

   Wonderful food and service in a unique interior. The oysters, caesar salad, rack of lamb and cherries jubilee were outstanding. A most memorable evening!

   We always enjoy an evening at Hy’s, so we decided to try the Happy Hour menu. The cocktails were a good value at $14, but the appetizers were disappointing at 3 oysters for $16 and an extremely small chopped salad. The beef Wellington was decent, but the A5 “steak” was not good at all. It was chopped up bits of meat mixed in with diced potatoes. Unacceptable. Service was 10/10 as usual. We will be back, but only for drinks at Happy Hour or the full menu at dinner.

   Consistent for years same good quality for drinks appetizers / main course and desert The cesar salad prepared at the table was great All steaks for the whole family was better than anywhere else Thank you Hy few steak houses in the world kept the old tradition My daughter and her family enjoyed it and our celebration for her birthday party was very successful

   Very good steak, sides and Caesar salad. A little over priced but probably average for Honolulu. Incredible service! Would definitely come back.

   great experience overall! service was truly exemplary and I can't think of another place with better service. Food outstanding. Great place for a pricey special meal

   Very beautiful restaurant. We all had filet which was very good. Seemed a little tougher than I would have expected but was still very good. I had mashed potatoes that were a little bland. The other two had baked potatoes and they come table side with all your toppings. Nice touch. One had lobster cooked great. They serve a cheesy bread which was unbelievably amazing. Mai tai was best on island. Our server Anakin was delightful. Made the experience even better.
