   We’ve been here 3 times and have always enjoyed our meals. Today we had another delicious lunch, we loved the corn fritters and green dipping sauce, our Cobb salads and the fried chicken sandwich! The elote corn dessert was delightful. Great service and lovely ambiance. We’ll be back!

   I was planning a day at NYBG for lunch then the Orchid show for a group. The fact that no one answers the phone at the restaurant or calls back to return messages is infuriating and terrible customer service. You should take a page from the group sales department, who is the exact opposite. I ended up making 3 separate reservation of 6, which could only be done at 3 different times, 15’ apart. I wanted to see if I could add 1 person to the table of 6 but could not get in touch w anyone. I didn’t need the 3rd table but was afraid to cancel it in the event we used it by spreading out our group (5, 4, 4 per table). It made logistics very difficult esp when planning transportation for the group & trying to have everyone eat together. I did not go with the group sales bc of the menu- someone has a food allergy. I could t speak to anyone about that either. Just expected better regarding ease of making reservations.

   The Hudson Garden Grill at the NewYork Botanical Garden has delicious food with a menu changing at each exhibit. We visited during the Orchid show, with a Mexican theme, so there were many delicious dishes inspired in the Mexican cuisine. With an excellent service besides the delicious food and since we ate in the terrace, surrounded by the beauty of the garden, it was a magical experience.

   I always enjoy dining here. I came with 2 other people. We were greeted by a woman and I had made reservations. The restaurant has windows that give you the view of the Botanical Garden which enhances the dining experience. Two of us had the burger which was delicious and served with a salad. The salad was fresh and tasty. Another friend had the cobb salad with grilled chicken and enjoyed it! Our waiter Sabbir was friendly and professional. We always have a good dining experience here!

   The menu at the Hudson Grill has changed since I was last there. I do not like the menu as much. It seems to have put a heavy emphasis on "health food," and I am a bit suspicious of all that -- is it really so much healthier or is it a gimmick? The prices are quite high, and the rather small piece of heavy and soggy quiche, as offered for the special Easter Brunch, was disappointing. The salads were good and fresh, and it is still a lovely place to sit and eat and enhances a visit to the wonderful Botanical Garden.
