   Servers pull food away before you even finish. Managers don't care about customers.

   Bartenders were really rude and skipped me and my girlfriend numerous times pretended to be busy even though we were waiting and no one was in line ….

   Very disappointing when making reservations, not only that it is so hard to make reservations online and the only way to get the exact reservation for a big party is to give your credit card and lock in with the time you wanted. I change my party from 5 to 8 by calling them and the person on the phone is a bit rude when they answered the call. I told them that there is a change with my party and it will be for 8 people, she gave me a very interesting answer oh your table is going to be delayed and I said that’s find that would be at 7:30 pm and she said make sure all your parties are here 🙄… fast forward to 5 hours later we arrived early at 7:15 pm, one of my daughter text me that she will be 15 minutes late so I checked in and told them that I am missing one in my party she will be 15 minutes late, oh okay you’re table is being prepared so will be calling you shortly. 17 minutes past the waiter called my name “James table for six” I was like l, is it party for 8? He said no it’s for 6. He asked me my full name and it’s me. I said that is a mistake it’s for 8 and not six. He said no your reservation is for 6. I said no change it to 8, I called them and my card is on file. Let’s go back to the lady to clarify things, I can read his body language and was a bit rude and a soon as went to the check in that’s when the lady told him that it was party for 8. As soon as we got there, I was expecting a round table but no they added another much smaller table to make the table from 6 to 8 and they expect me to give them gratuity for not getting everything right and ready. We were all crowded in the spot. I did not make an even I just went with the flow. Our server wasn’t friendly too. He did not introduced himself, didn’t bother to asks us if this is our first rodeo here, except that keeps asking is this table for 6 or for 8 🙄, and that was annoying number 2. Annoying number 3 is that keeps asking if my daughter is coming and then other waiters kept removing the chair 😤

   HOPR is always the best. Never a bad meal. Always excellent service. It will forever be just one of those special places.

    The House of Prime Rib is a tradition in our family for special occasions. This occasion was my husband’s birthday and there were a few issues that lowered my survey scores. Issue #1: One family member could not attend due to injury recovery so we were downsized to a booth for five. No one wanted to make a big deal but really the booth was too small. As the food piled onto the table and one person in our party is 6’5” - the table and seats became uncomfortably crowded. Issue #2: our waitperson welcomed us with smiles and pleasantries - a good thing. The issue with service turned into feeling a bit rushed through dinner. We appreciated the ‘quick’ service but felt rushed from salad service on. Issue #3: I noticed a part of cocktail lounge was now a new section for dining. This left very little room for having a cocktail before dinner which we generally enjoy (cocktails are top notch!) I am delighted for the restaurant’s success during these crazy times in SF and would like some advice on ‘making a reservation,’ to reduce wait time - if there is any. We will continue to include House of Prime Rib for a generously delicious special occasion meal - when we can get a reservation! Thank you.
