   Beautiful vibey space! Food was delicious but very expensive for what you get. I ordered the gnocchi with oxtail and literally only got one forkful of meat in it…and a glass of Cabernet was $26. I would recommend for special occasions but not a go to dinner spot.

   Herb & Wood is one of the best restaurants in San Diego. Lively, yet intimate atmosphere with exceptional service. Their menu is incredibly diverse, a very unique take on tapas. My wife and I had eggplant hummus with olive oil, pickled vegetables and fresh baked nan bread, outstanding! The Ibirico pork for an entree was succulent. We finished with a strawberry shuffle for dessert, which was executed to perfection and topped with fresh rhubarb ice cream. One of the most delicious desserts we've ever had! Hight recommend for date night, birthday or anniversary. Always a memorable experience!

   Overall this place is beautiful and the drinks are amazing! The appetizer was really good! The shareable side of potatoes was the best thing! My wife had the steak it was okay I had the brenzino and it was okay as well! They add so many ingredients on everything that you can’t actually taste the main part of the plate! Good to try once but not again!

   This was our second time dining at Herb & Wood, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional, the food was both unique and flavorful, and the atmosphere was lively without being overly loud. We started with the Butter Lettuce and Hamachi appetizers. For our main courses, I had the Roasted Branzino while my husband enjoyed the Swordfish. We finished with the Date Cake and a complimentary birthday ice cream. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of cherry, so my husband happily enjoyed that part for me. Overall, it was a fantastic evening, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

   Incredible food, service, and ambience. Mafalde was perfect and the Date Cake dessert was arguably the best dessert I’ve ever had. Will most definitely be coming back again.

    I have been coming to this restaurant for years. It’s truly one of my favorite spots. I bring family here for special occasions, and I often come alone just because I love it so much. The food, atmosphere, and usually the service have always been incredible. Unfortunately, my last two visits, including Easter Sunday, were deeply disappointing because of the same waiter. I don’t know if he was just having a bad day (both times), but his attitude was extremely negative — short, rude, and honestly brought the whole energy of the meal down. On Easter, which should have been a happy family 3 course meal, the experience was so bad it made me not even want to finish the meal. I went back again last night hoping for a better experience, and by chance was sat with the same waiter. Sadly, it was just as unpleasant. His energy is so off-putting it completely kills the joy of dining out. Because I truly love this restaurant, I’m planning to call ahead moving forward to request not to be seated at his section. I don’t want one person’s bad attitude to ruin a place I have so many good memories at. I hope management addresses this, because everything else about this restaurant deserves five stars.
