Amazing food art..... You have to be prepared to spend quite some time at this restaurant... Food comes out slowly... We were there just shy of 4 hours.... Overall I have nothing but praise... However this is not a food experience you would so regularly.... I would say give it a go

A lovely place to eat wonderful food, great service and very relaxed. We had the tasting menu and had the pleasure of sitting next to the pass so could see the food prepared for service and very surprised at how quiet it all was. Not cheap but you wouldn’t expect it to be, albeit we did over indulge on the wine which was very good and the owner talked us through the choices and even rejected one bottle as it was corked

Very nice dining on the Chiswick High Street with a tasting menu that changes daily (no a la carte available) - A menu that they are quite at pains to explain. Quite expensive but very well prepared, simple looking but elaborately prepared, delicious, food by a small army of chefs in an open kitchen. Can get a bit noisy with the wood floor and the frosted front windows make it feel a bit claustrophobic.

My friend and I had been to Hedone before, and decided to return and try the ‘7 Course Tasting Lunch Menu with Wine Pairing’. We were very disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere, second time round! The service was brusque, verging on rude, especially the small female waitress with large glasses. We left one course uneaten, and we were subjected to condescending comments when the plates were cleared. From that point onwards, the staff attitude was frosty. We felt the food was bland and under-seasoned, the main lamb dish was luke warm, and the waitress forgot to serve us our first two amuse-bouche dishes, which are part of the tasting menu. When we were paying, we brought this up with the headwaiter who was unapologetic. We were so shocked at this attitude as our bill came to more than £325 for 2 people. The difference between our first visit, and our last visit, is vast. Our first visit to Hedone was an uplifting experience, our return visit was a depressing experience and will be our last.

Amazing beetroot, and seaweed pudding. Really creative dishes with original taste.

The Hedone experience gets 5 stars from me. Great conversations with Chef. Enthusiastic and warm service. A relaxed, intimate setting. Inventive food. A different menu every night. Clever, not fussy. Brilliant wine pairings. One of the very best fine dining experiences in London.

Ordered the carte blanche menu at £ 135 on Dec 17. Food was executed well and consistent, but conservative. I struggle to remember much about any dish for good or ill. I think the chef may be playing it too safe. Value is okay. I think for a 10 course the price isn’t out of the norm. Cooking is very accessible for those not familiar with fine dining. Dessert and petite fours, I got the impression were more of an afterthought and forgettable. Service is pretty bad. Pacing is inconsistent with lengthy delays. Much of the staff aren’t educated about the food. When I asked what pidgeon was served, one of the servers had no idea and no inclination to check. The shorter lady with glasses banged into my stool and didn’t say anything. Chef is nice only to select customers who get wine. It was kinda unethical to pour bottle water, not mention it would cost extra, and then charge for it at the end. I’m not concerned about the price but didn’t appreciate the gesture. Ambiance is sterile and tense. Sitting at the counter, kitchen staff seem really stressed out and not really having fun. I don’t usually like loud music but it was a bit weird having none at all. Overall this was my least positive fine dining experience this year, even though the food was decent enough.

Really surprised about the quality of the food especially with all the other raving reviews. £240 for 2 people and only one drink and very disappointed by the food. Wasn’t fresh. Sauces bland. The macaron at the end was so hard it tasted like a week old! Place is lovely such a shame. Started off well with the snacks and just went progressively bad. The desserts were also sickenly sweet. Wish we could have loved it as we were so looking forward to it.
