   Japanese food as it used to be. Smaller potions like other places in Hawaii but at a lower price than other places. Very good dessert menu.

   I've been here three times recently, although I think it's a bit pricey for it's surroundings the food has always been great. It seems to be crowded w/lines outside the door so make reservations. Parking behind and under restaurant is usually in short supply. If you're into salads the mochiko chicken salad is the best I've ever had with soy beans, arare, tomatoes & their wonderful tasting dressing, even the small sized portion of salad is a generous portion.

   Tasty food, a variety of asian delights, good service...recommend to go when they open at 11:00 or make a reservation. Got crowded quickly.

   they did not have our reservations, said did not receive from your service, but they did get us a table, we had a party of 11. Lucky we went a little early and did not have to wait too long for a table. I was glad to see that they do take reservations now, but, it is not recorded and we get to the restaurant and they do not have the reservations, it does not make sense that no one is checking on the reservations.

   There was nothing special about this place. The service was the best thing about this place but that wont make me go back. The food was just ok, I've had much better Bento and sushi. It felt like i was in a diner similar to Zippys. I just dont think it was worth the price.

   Miso soup, California roll, tempura (3 shrimp, and veggie), and your choice another entrée for under $16 for dinner. Good Deal. Great for groups and food is tasty.

   Very accommodating for a fairly small group celebrating a baby shower. There were 13 of us and the room and service was great!

   Food was OK. I thought it was bid expencive for the quarity and taste of the food. (You can get better quarity fishes, rice and tempuras in town with same or lower price!) However, the waiter was very nice. He asked us how he want us to bring food because we order a lot. Asked us how we are doing and checking our water and tea frequently. Very personable. I can't remember his name but he was new Chinese boy. He should be recognized for his good customer service. This place has a great deal for senior! So, it's good place for senior lunch meeting. 4 stars because the service. 1 star for food and restaurant itself.

   Gyotaku Pearlridge is different and a 1000x better than its sister restaurants in McCully and Aina Haina. You get a lot for your dollar and everything is outstanding from the plating, to taste and creativity. I love the kamameshi dishes; it comes in a cute ceramic rice pot of plantation days. Ninja-don is delicious!
