   Love the Latin ambiance, music, people of all ages dancing. Service is excellent. Food was really good. Mojitos are fantastic❤️!!!

   Always a pleasure to come to Guantanamera. Our server was wonderful and was even able to understand my lip reading to tell him it was my daughter’s birthday. The margaritas are always the best.

   Excellent food and authentic! Loved the live music and energy. One complaint—too loud!!….especially prior to the band with piped in music, people yelling and musicians warming up.

   Ich gehe seit meinem ersten Besuch in diesem Restaurant immer wieder - bei Aufenthalten in NY - ins Guantanamera NYC. Der freundliche und perfekte Empfang, die Bedienung und vor allem das reichhaltige Angebot an typischen kubanischen Köstlichkeiten zu einem fairen Preis haben es in sich! Zudem live kubanische Musik… ein bisschen wie im Buena Vista Social Club. KUBA pur! A place not to be missed

   Delicious food and service. My husband enjoyed the Cuban sandwich and said it was pretty authentic and tasty. Highly recommended

   Excellent! We aren't from NY but visited the last time we were here. We decided to come back BECAUSE the food was excellent and they had a vast menu. This time, Guantanamera did not disappoint.We will definitely come back again on our next visit!

    I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so terrible I feel that I have to. Everything was bad except for the nice people who greeted us and our waiter. The food was almost inedible - I have had lechon in many Cuban restaurants and it NEVER was done like this - and it took way too long to arrive after the apps. Others in my party did not even comment on the food - because I made chose this place and they clearly didn't want to make me feel bad. I chose this restaurant because we had just seen the Cuban show on Broadway (which is amazing) and wanted to continue the experience at a supposedly Cuban restaurant. The ambience was horrible - so dark I couldn't see what was on my plate and the terrible piped in "music" (not clear what it was) was so loud that we had to yell to hear each other, and we were in a booth. I have heard that the later night live music is wonderful - but we left just before that was to start. Oh, and I noted in my reservation that we were celebrating our friend's birthday and that he is Cuban - we got no acknowledgement of that, even tho we witnessed 3 other birthdays being celebrated. Clearly we will not return here.
