   Our first time to Georgia Brown and for sure will be back. The food was some of the best. Freshly prepared, large portions and great dining vibe. Nearby to the White House within walking distance to museums and national mall. Highly recommend and this will be one of our favorite places.

   1st parking is HORRIBLE 2 of the garages I went to were closed street parking was non existent and valet was late. For the price you pay on food I feel it isn't equivalent to what we received. I had country fried steak. The steak was tender but the gravy was watery and lacked flavor, the mac n cheese was horrible and my cream was cold. Maybe it was supposed to be but idk. The deviled eggs without caviar was the same price as with caviar and it was literally 2 whole eggs which equalled 4 half smh the price did not match at all. The fried chicken was just mediocre the greens needed seasoning and my drink Hartley tasted soapy. I asked the waiter about it and I was never given another drink. The waiter wasn't as attentive as I saw some of the others. I asked the hostess where the bathroom was and it was as if I struck a nerve with an attitude she just pointed, that was rude, another guest told me where to find the bathroom. The ambiance was ok but it was cramped literally back to back chairs with other diners at different tables. I will not be coming back here our experience was not a good experience and the food wasn't good not to mention the portion size for the price you pay. Sadly I had better tasting food from Cheddar's and cheaper and clearly that's not fine dining 😕

   This was my family and I first time visiting the restaurant. Nice restaurant, clean bathrooms. Our reservation was for 3:15pm, party of 4. When we got there the host was on the phone and it took a few minutes for someone else to greet and seat us. Took about 5 min for waiter to come to table, and about a good 30-35 minutes to receive our food. The cornbread was the first to come out. It was cold, couldn’t melt butter on it. The food came out hot and looked appetizing BUT it had absolutely NO FLAVOR. I was sooo disappointed! The chicken was crispy but bland. The greens were dry and bland, yams tasted like it was boiled with a pinch of cinnamon. Mac n cheese tasted liked noodles mixed with shredded Mexican cheese and that’s it…absolutely no flavor. Crab cakes were ok, and Calamari was good. Overall the food was bland and we will not be returning. Check for 4 was about $160 with a 20% gratuity which came out to a little over $30 and $20 tax…total a little over $200…never again!

   Food was just overall underwhelming. Lacking flavor. Soup served warm. Mac and cheese cold. Deviled eggs basic.

   Another great dinner at Georgia Brown's. Great wine selection. Wonderful fried green tomato appetizer. Our table had the pork chop, the Carolina gumbo, and the crab cakes. All wonderful! Service was great and our server was very attentive, even as the restaurant became busier. Will keep visiting on future trips to DC!

   Everything was fantastic! We were there for my sister’s birthday and she really enjoyed herself. My niece who is 2 was also there & they were kind enough to store her stroller away so that it wasn’t in the way. There is a paper cover over the tablecloths so they brought her crayons to color with. She really enjoyed that. The service was great. Jose was our server. He had a lot of recommendations and information about the menu. The food was absolutely delicious! The corn bread with the peaches & honey butter was absolutely amazing! The ambiance was excellent. Someone was playing the piano. I mean absolutely 10/10 recommend. That was our first time there, but definitely not our last.

    Georgia Browns is a really nice place to go for dinner or lunch in downtown DC. I've been several times, just recently for a late lunch after seeing the japanese cherry trees in full bloom. It's a fun rickshaw ride from the tidal basin up to the restaurant on 15th across from McPherson Square too. The ambience is really nice with a beautiful, organic sculpture dominating the dining room, curved, flowing bench seats for the tables and a nice color palette. My wife and I think it is a romantic place. The food is very good. I was surprised at the large portions we got this visit. Not sure if they upped their game in the kitchen but the fried green tomatoes and Ma Browns biscuits appetizers were a lunch in themselves. The tomatoes had a really tasty sauce with a nice kick. The biscuits were excellent with pimento butter, bacon jam, and regular butter condiments. Even though it was a lot already, we still had a shrimp po' boy and a jerk chicken sandwich too! My wife thought the po' boy really tasty. I liked my jerk chicken sandwich. It tasted very good, but I would have liked more of a hot jerk spice. It was too mild for jerk chicken. These were both big sandwiches with a huge pile of fried potatoes too. I gave service 3 stars, but only because it was pretty slow. Our waiter was well trained, very nice, and well informed of the menu. Being nit-picky, I did have to ask for condiments and food out of the kitchen was slow. We also had to wait quite a while for the check when we finished. If you want some southern style food, Georgia Browns is an excellent choice. We didn't have it this time, but the fried chicken is really outstanding. If it is your first visit (or you are an out of towner) that's the way to go.
