   Lovely lunch on Valentine's Day. Service was good, as was the food. Eager to return when the patio is open.

   Food was excellent. Very nice environment. Looking forward to returning when weather is nice and we can sit outside. Our male server was not at all engaging, was marginally attentive and hardly slowed his walk when he zipped by to check on us. Great food/poor service. Have been here many times...this was unusual, so will definitely return.

   I little busier than we expected at 5:30PM. Staff hustle to keep everyone served. Our go to place to celebrate. Excellent mole.

   Sat at our table for over 20 minutes and not one person came to our table to take our order or even acknowledge us.

   We have eaten at Gabriel's hundreds of times over 20+ years. This was the first time that I must say I was disappointed in the food. We know it isn't fancy, but now we were disappointed in the quality of the food. I ordered a shrimp and cheese quesadilla. The shrimp did not appear to be cooked all the way through and didn't appear to have been grilled. The guacamole on the plate over some browned lettuce that was sloppily chopped had started turning brown. The waiter told me that the guacamole is made in the morning (!), hours before the dinner hour! Unappetizing. I ordered a combination plate that included two ground beef tacos. That was all that was on them - a spoonful of ground beef! No tomatoes or anything else. And again the lettuce that was thrown on the plate that the tacos rested on looked quite dead. I know there is new ownership in the past year. There are many other places to get Mexican/Northern New Mexican food in the Santa Fe area. We won't be back anytime soon, knowing that the quality of the food is going down.

   The guacamole which is made at your table is fantastic! The “Arizona Chimichanga”, however, was just OK.

    I have been a constant client of Gabriel's since I moved here many years ago. My husband and I loved the wonderful food and atmosphere from the moment we first moved here. Hence we have introduced many many people to Gabriel's wonderful service. Last week, we introduced our dearest friends former Lt. Governor John Sanchez and Mrs. Sanchez to Gabriels. They "adored" their lunch sooooo much...they called to have me make a reservations for tomorrow and so the 3 of us will be dining at 12 noon tomorrow. Anita De Domenico....resident of Santa Fe.
