Our live performance schedule is: Tuesday - 6:30 PM-9:30pm; doors open at 5:30pm. Wednesday - 6:30pm-9:30pm; doors open at 5:30pm. Thursday - 7pm-11pm; doors open at 5:30pm. We were notified the afternoon before that they moved our reservation out of the piano bar and into the main dining room for a private event. Not much of a heads up but overall not a huge deal. The band in the whiskey bar made up for the changes from the piano bar and we decided to stay in there for a while after dinner. The food was very good and service above average for a night out in that area of NYC on a Saturday. The building alone is very interesting,has a historic revolutionary war feel about it and is well worth checking out. Great night out!

Wonderful restaurant with great food, great service (by Kajsa), amazing ambience with so much history, and great music today with Cait Jones and the Critters. We can’t wait to return again and again. We try to visit a couple of times a year from upstate New York. It never disappoints and today was one of our best visits yet.

We ordered our meal and when delivered my salmon was pretty rare. I sent it back and about 40 minutes later when everyone else was finished, I got my food.

I had the pot pie which i was told was very popular and it was excellent, though my friend’s burger was just average.

Food was good, place has a great vibe, but service was iffy. Dairy allergy was shared up front, but food was brought out with dairy nevertheless. Service was pretty slow overall in general.

We were recommended to try here by our Statue of Liberty tour guide. The history of the place sounded impressive, and we were eager to try it! But the reality was underwhelming. Our server put in the absolute bare minimum effort, never checking on refills (went a solid 15 minutes with an empty glass, and never could catch anyone's attention in a half full dining room), never asking if we needed anything (2 Tbsp of ketchup isn't nearly enough for the amount of fries I had) or how our food was (see below). My wife ordered the tomato bisque with grilled cheese that she was quite happy with. I, on the other hand, ordered the fish and chips, which came with mushy peas. What I received was one decent-sized piece of fish made decent-sized by an obscene amount of breading; a good amount of chips (fries) that seemed somehow stale, like the oil hadn't been changed in a few weeks; and are mushy peas supposed to be served refrigerated? (never had them cold before) We both also had iced tea to drink, which was a little bitter, like the urn hadn't been cleaned in a while. The setting was exceptional, but it deserved better food and better staff for such a historically significant restaurant.
