Experience the beauty of the Pacific Ocean combined with world-class dining on historic Cannery Row, just a short walk from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The newly renovated Fish Hopper, housed in an original sardine cannery building, offers spectacular views of the stunning Monterey Bay from every table, including our heated outdoor patio. The Fish Hopper specializes in fresh, sustainable seafood, certified Angus beef, pastas, and live shellfish. Our seafood is either locally caught or shipped in fresh daily, and our produce is locally grown in the Salinas Valley. Some favorites include fresh Monterey Bay abalone, macadamia-crusted halibut, our famous “Tomahawk Chop” bone-in rib eye, and fresh Dungeness crab. Start your meal with our award-winning clam chowder, and indulge in one of our many exotic cocktail creations or a selection from our extensive wine collection.     It was great, reservations led to better seats. Definitely good experience with otters nearby, good server, perfect ambiance. We split poke wonton appetizer (plenty for each of us), sesame encrusted halibut and spicy prawn pasta. Absolutely no complaints!

    I was very disappointed at the food and service. I have eaten at Fish hopper in the past and it was wonderful. We ordered soup, and just started to eat it before our main entrée was brought to us. The bread rolls were rock hard, and the description of how our waiter explain the food we were ordering did not match what we received. Flavor wasn’t that great. Only thing that was great was the wildlife we got to see around us in the water. We are not planning on going back to the over priced disappointing restaurant.

    Love the Fish Hopper - great food and atmosphere! Expensive but worth it! Could improve customer service at check in however - dinner last night was a birthday celebration and the hostess mumbled “happy birthday” into her tablet and didn’t even look up - not a big deal but cmon..

    Wonderful meal at Fish Hopper for 2nd night running. Fish & chips done to perfection the first night and then probably the best salmon dish I’ve experienced, last night. Ambience was great, the views outstanding and the friendly and efficient service provided by our hostess Emily, was first class.

    Food was decent but nothing amazing. The drinks gave off a soapy taste like they the glasses weren't rinsed. Service was excellent and attentive. The ocean view was lovely. Great place for the kids to gaze out while eating. Would give it another chance.

    We were sitting by the window we had a nice view of the ocean. We ordered the pan seared sea bass and it was very good . Also the Salmon and short ribs was very good. Service was fantastic definitely recommend this restaurant.
