I ordered rabbit which I love and was very disappointed. It was grilled and was over cooked. Rabbit has no fat and should really be cooked in a sauce. There were pieces of rabbit that were not grilled but they were tough. Even the chard stems were hard to eat..they were undercooked. The sides, red cabbage and schpetzle were delicious. The butter lettuce salad had very little dressing and not much flavor. My companion ordered the Pork chops..it was delicious and HUGE. We were there on a Monday night. I would go again and order something more Austrian.

We enjoy eating here a couple times a month with our friends. The Owner Holly when we get to see her is always attentive, our host Clancey seated us and was very friendly, Lily our waitress was wonderful!! She gets extra stars********* The food is always very good and a nice selection, it was brought out quickly and hot. This was Easter Sunday at 5:30, with a full house, we have a favorite table we always request. If you haven't tried them, maybe it is time you do!

The food here is always good. My go to spot when I’m in STSJ. I love their mushroom cigars and the French dip sandwich.

Five stars might seem high but I can’t think of anything which would necessitate a lower rating. In a world of modern concept restaurants, this is OG. There is a bar area, two dining rooms and a beer garden, each with their own ambience. There is a good selection of German beers and menu items. Portions are generous and reasonably priced. The service was everything I expect. This is place to go if you are looking for something a little different.

We enjoyed a pre-opera dinner on Friday night. It was very quiet which allowed for pleasant conversation. The assortment of bar bites and appetizers was extensive and satisfying. We selected the sliders, potstickers and calamari. They were ample enough to satisfy three diners. We also ordered the rice dish with Chinese sausage which was very tasty. The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. We were very pleased and will return.
