Best Historic Restaurants in Cranleigh

I recently visited The Chequers for lunch for the first time as part of a walking group. I enjoyed the service, quality of food and the way the beer was kept so much i returned several weeks later with my family. The experience mirrored the first, excellence all round. Will visit again, in fact are friends are going this weekend on our recommendation.

Service was (and always is) incredibly slow, although the server was wonderful when she was with us, and I understand not having bright floodlights in the dining room, but the row of booths were in total darkness, I couldn’t read the blackboard. Otherwise a good visit.
