True Chesapeake is a Baltimore restaurant born of an oyster farm. Executive Chef Zack Mills creates a seasonal menu that showcases oysters from our farm in St. Jerome’s Creek, Southern Maryland — raw, roasted, and in signature dishes like Classic Rockefeller and French Onion Oysters. But, the oysters are just the beginning. Our award winning menu celebrates the bounty of the Chesapeake region by using locally sourced seafood, meat, and produce to create exquisite dishes that evolve with the seasons. Chef Mills has been featured extensively for his use of invasive seafood species, a very delicious way to help the Chesapeake Bay. Don't forget to order the Blue Crab and Bone Marrow dip or handmade pasta. We have an expertly curated wine list, beer selection, and cocktails - both classic and creative. Ample bar, high-top, and terrace seating available for walk-ins on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The brunch menu prepared by Chef Mario was unique and adventurous, but not out of touch for casual diners. The pastries were phenomenal we chose the Kouign-Amann which were flawless and so delicious as well as the Cheddar, Jalapeño and chive scones. Both were served with butter and jam. She had the Chicken and waffles that came with a harissa-kohlrabi slaw and ginger-lime maple syrup. Spicy, sweet and complex on the palate. I had the Chesapeake Benny, poached eggs, maryland crab on top of a breaded fried green tomato with tarragon hollandaise, grilled asparagus and home fries! Every bite was intensely pleasing. Each dish was plated beautifully and each component worked so well together. We got more pastries to go home with. Our server, Andrea was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food she was serving and its presentation. She was kind enough to gift us her favorite scone flavor on the house! I can honestly say it was the best meal (not just brunch) I’ve had all year. Thanks! Matt and Jodi

The true taste of the huckleberry oysters was astonishing. Our waitress clearly explained the varieties, both from their farm and other oyster farms in the Chesapeake Bay. It was lovely to see the mutual support for the farming of oysters to filter the water, rebuild the aquatic biome, and create delicious food too. Other menu choices were cooked to perfection and delicious. The chunk crab cake sandwich, the oysters Rockefeller, and the apple galette were so well made and served at the right temperature. The setting is idyllic. Very nice interior design. It was just terrific.
