Could not fault it. Seeing 5 stars gives me pause for most restaurants in San Diego, especially those that have been standing for 20+ years. What is it that makes the average diner feel they are eating at a 5 star restaurant? Is it the food? The ambience? Whatever it is, they have it. Some of my favorite seafood dishes in the world don’t even come close to the Macadamia crusted halibut, or the Swordchop au Poivre. The hand roll special with uni and toro was absolutely unbelievable. To wrap it all up in a nice bow, the milk punch and the selkie song were top-notch clarified cocktails which I’ll be craving until my next visit. Even the service felt attentive, and frankly, sincere, which is often hard to find. 10/10 will be back again and will not stop talking about it until I do!

Tom Hams is a great all around restaurant. Parking is plentiful & free. The view is amazing. Our server Ricardo was so attentive. He was asking us about what we needed before we could even ask him. And most importantly - the food is reasonably priced and delicious. We started with appetizers - calamari, Brussel sprouts and cauliflower. All were yummy. And our entrees were great too. I had the paella (they subbed out the mussels which I appreciated). The other ladies were happy with their selections too (yellow fin, raw bar & scallops). Just a great night!!!!
