- BBarryNew York City •4 reviews4.0Dined on Apr 11, 2025It was our first time here. The food is top notcht! The flat bread and bacon wrapped date appetizers were delicious. Our main course consisted of the duck and lamb, both cooked to perfection with delicious accompaniments .Service was also wonderful. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The cocktails were good, but didn’t feel balanced properly. The bourbon smash just tasted bad. I also didn’t like the fact that they allowed dogs in the eating area. One was a “service dog” (so understandable) and barked everyone someone walked by and another was just a pet, chilling at a table while it’s owners ate. The restaurant sits in the lobby of the hotel and various people walked past our table with their dogs as well. I do have allergies and was worried about their presence. I wasn’t aware dogs were allowed in the Storyteller. Had I know, I probably would have skipped eating at this place. The smell of wet dog (it was a rainy day) was also unpleasant to smell while eating. Most likely won’t go bacK because of it.More infoThe Storyteller - Inn at BellefieldPrice: Moderate• American• Hyde Park•3.9
