I have been going to Bear for a number of years now , and can genuinely say that the service and food is excellent. My latest visit was on Easter Sunday this year and I noticed also that the seating arrangements had been updated and replaced with new styled seating for eating and lounging whilst you may drop in for that well deserved coffee break . It is well located and well kept and managed by helpful staff , who go the extra lengths to please the customer . Go try it and see yourself especially if you’re lucky to get a window seat view of the River . Highly recommended! DP (Wilmslow )

We ate here as a thank you to my parents for everything they have helped for our wedding tomorrow and I must say the whole night was amazing from the ambiance to the food and not forgetting the service a massive thank you to everyone involved and we will be certainly eating here again. Would obviously highly recommend.

Ordered 4 dishes off the small plates. Did not like the batter like coating on the meat dishes we ordered and found the bread hard, not soft that came with the houmus and the artisan oil. We went on a lovely sunny day but chose to eat inside which was quite cold as no heating was on.
