Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Bankside

I love this restaurant! However, it’s getting too loud for me to hear my dinner companion and vice versa. It was relieved to step into the quiet street outside. It’s a shame too because if it was slightly quieter, it would be the perfect place for a steak for someone in the 70s. Of course this just makes me sound like an old fogie.

We had afternoon tea here. Some really innovative Shakespeare themed food items. Delicious food and well decorated sweet treats. The above recipe has changed since I last came, but I feel this is a better version! Impeccable service, friendly and professional.

What a wonderful find! Best Italian food we've had since Italy. Th black cod appetizer and the anchovy toast appetizers were both outstanding. The sweetbreads pasta and the nettle gnocchi were wonderful. The service was excellent and charming. We had a barbaresco to accompany the meal, and of course it was great, too. The pannacotta dessert with raspberry topping was good, though we've had better. All in all a great experience. The place is tiny but it wasn't crowded for a 9PM dinner after a performance at the Globe theater, a short walk away. It is also very near the Tate Modern. A great choice if you happen to be at either place.

Good service, lovely atmosphere, good food, only thing music was a little loud, and I say that as it was early dinner around 6ish with some old friends not seen for a while, so would have been nice if music was not so boom boom. Maybe early evening a little more subtle music then ramp it up later. But had a lovely evening x
