An understated storefront hides a coveted skyline view—just one of the many ways you could underestimate this longtime cafe on Mount Baker’s main drag. The menu, the sign—even the name—are a bit of a throwback, but current owners Guy Devillier and David Hoefer took over in 2018 and keep things attuned to today. Carbonara packs more nuance than you might expect, the slightly crackly pizza’s better than it has to be, and the bar pours lambrusco and negroni. I love this place, already been there twice. Love the vibe, food, service! Everything felt great. This is definitely a place which can uplift your energy with its nice ambiance and music. It has good vegetarian options as well - have tried their Mexican corn with chips and enchiladas - both tasted great. Their cocktails are also nice.

Excellent food and service. A large dining room with a second level. It appears to be an old space that gives off a rustic vibe. I am a vegetarian and found many things to eat. There's a vegetable stew that is amazing. The house sangiovese was delicious. The staff are very kind and attentive. Will definitely return.
