The starters were delicious. Best broccoli I’ve ever had. And the gnocchi was amazing and to top it off, the pasta in the cheese wheel was a new experience and also delicious!

Fabulous dinner and service last night . The $38 tasting menu was a delicious array of Brazilian food , we added dessert , the cream brûlée was amazing ! Lovely atmosphere and vibe on Victoria street to top it off . Would highly recommend!

As always, a wonderful experience - delicious food, great cosy ambience, and friendly and attentive staff. I have been coming to Black Bottle for years and have never been disappointed. Whether I’ve come as part of a large group (15+) or as one of a couple, my consistent experience has been that Black Bottle serves amazing French food without the pretentiousness (and high prices) of most French restaurants in the Sydney area. The menu is not huge but spans a wide range of tastes, with appealing vegetarian options, and the chef is happy to accommodate dietary restrictions wherever possible. The Chef’s Selection (actually *your* choice of starter, main, dessert plus a glass of wine) is excellent value for money, and you would be very hard pressed to find food of this high quality at this price anywhere in Sydney. All in all, I cannot recommend Black Bottle highly enough - give them a try and you might find them becoming your go-to French restaurant (as I did!).

Loved the ricotta pancakes and Charles was his usual charming, courteous and efficient self - a study for anyone wanting to see front of house attitude and how service should be done. Wayne and Rosalind Ihaka
