Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to have joined LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of innovative cocktails created by our bartenders. Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Amazingly delicious and well prepared food. I sat at the high top table by the bar overlooking the open kitchen with fire grill and prep stations. I love the energy of the kitchen, the vibe of the restaurant. The service was excellent, attentive and friendly. Really great new find in Arts District. Love it! Will come back.

Just a wonderful restaurant. Everything we ate was delicious. My friend and I had the duck breast and scallops. I would order both of these again, especially the Duck, since I don’t eat it much, it was excellent. The couple sitting next to us ordered the venison burger and chicken. He said his burger was a tad dry and her chicken looked boring. So order the right dishes! Our drinks were great and just as described. The bread pudding is a must! I’m so happy we chose Manuela. But I’m not in a hurry to return. It’s a must-go at least once. A great choice if you’re in the Arts District. A must-go if you’re invited to a party there, or if someone else is paying. Lol but fr fr. Manuela is definitely a winner!
