Conchy Joe's Seafood Restaurant and Bar is a Bahamian inspired seafood and steak eatery. It is hailed for its laid-back atmosphere and for pioneering the introduction of conch to the West Coast.. Since 1979, Conchy Joe's has accumulated a number of accolades: it was featured on New York Times Bestsellers, had recipes highlighted by food magazines Gourmet and Bon Appétit and received Florida Trend Magazine's Top 500 Award. The restaurant boasts an authentic Seminole Indian Chickee Hut and Bar, an indoor lounge and mahogany bar. Conchy Joe's serves only fresh seafood items, with a menu that features chowders, clams, crabs and, conch. It also serves steaks, burgers and sandwiches. Junto a su hijo Taylor (ahora chef ejecutivo), el esposo posee una educación culinaria y esta familia de tres es apasionada en extremo de la comida de calidad, bebidas y hospitalidad, pues disfrutan completamente atender a sus comensales.The Gafford es llamado así en honor a sus abuelos, quienes les mostraron cómo disfrutar de la vida, divertirse y reír (en especial de ellos mismos). Su abuelo estuvo en la Fuerza Aérea y el negocio de la hospitalidad, así que le enseñó muchas cosas acerca de negocios, cocina y hospitalidad.
