Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy.     Another great experience at Catch LA. From the moment we were greeted outside, until we exited the restaurant to get into our Uber, the service was exceptional, as usual. There isn’t a bad table in this beautiful restaurant, and the ambiance is lively and welcoming. Our server, Michael, took wonderful care of us. Our favorite menu items are the crispy brussels w/ pomegranate seeds, truffle sashimi, and crunchy rice cakes. The only downsides were 1) the lobster mac & chz is for some crazy reason off the menu, and 2) the seasonal “hit me” cake, though creative, is nowhere near as delicious as the original. Otherwise a perfect evening.

    We finally had the chance to return back after somewhat off experience and all I can tell you is everyone was so great. It was one of the best experiences and everyone on staff was so wonderful. Casey, our server, took care of us from the get go so I want to thank him and his manager for a wonderful night.
