Best Pre-Theater Restaurants in Downtown / Loop

I have eaten at Roanoke at least 1/2 dozen times over the past few years. the food has always been delicious, and the service attentive but not overbearing. The ambiance varies depending on the day/time of the week. It’s a little noisier after work/pre-theater, and quieter on Sunday dinnertime. But the noise level has never gotten overwhelming when I’ve been there. I’ve taken 3 different groups of friends there, and all enjoyed it and said they would definitely dine there again.

Great drinks, great food and excellent service. We had 3 very different palates and we were all happy with our meals.

Food and service were outstanding! The portion sizes are significant so our party shared a few different dishes. We also had kids with us, who loved it, too. Perfect dinner spot before a show.

Colleagues and I went across the street for a casual get together. The bartender/server was Carter and he was fantastic. He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and at no time did we feel rushed. The food came out quickly and was very good. I plan on returning to this restaurant in the near future.
