Die “Marend” ist eine deftige Tiroler Pause oder Jause. Also eine Zwischenmahlzeit oder auch Brotzeit, bei der gelacht wird und die Menschen zueinander finden. In alten Zeiten wurde die “Marend” nach der Feldarbeit in geselliger Runde zu sich genommen und mit einem Stamperl Schnaps abgerundet.
