The first Oven Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, has been around since 1988 and owned/operated by a dedicated family of chefs who have been creating Indian cuisine for over twenty seven years. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day. The skewers and breads are then placed in the tandoor over an open flame where breads are cooked to perfection and the rich flavors are sealed in to ensure tenderness and quality of the meat.     We celebrated our anniversary and it was our first time at well & good. It was a really lovely experience. The food was delicious. My husband ordered the ribs and they were amazing. I ordered the scallops and they were cooked PERFECTLY! They were a little bit more salty than I like but they still were delicious. They serve water without ice which maybe is just a thing. But gave us ice water when we requested it. They also gave us a lovely desert for our anniversary. I was a little disappointed they didn’t write happy anniversary on the plate for a photo op but it was still super nice of them to give us a free desert when they found out we were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. Overall it was a really lovely experience and we will for sure be back!

    Had a great time! Emailed the venue since website didn’t show a children’s menu and heard back immediately!!! They even offered to make Mac &Cheese for our grandson!!! Food and service were good. Someone checked on our table to see how our grandson liked his food!!!
