In 2024, the original location of Petit Trois, on Highland Ave in Hollywood, celebrates 10 years as a beloved, can't miss part of LA's dining scene. Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. From the moment we walk in, we are relaxed yet energized. The maître d’ greets us warmly, remembering our favorite table and server (Peter). Peter is such a friendly guy and always provides excellent service and never rushes us. He also makes the very best martinis! This is our favorite neighborhood bistro. It’s a jewel!

Quality of the food is absolutely on point. By French And and Sue was fantastic, and not overly salted. My wife’s steak Frites were excellent. My wife’s chocolate soufflé was sublime, as was my bread putting. I may have probably the best old-fashioned cocktail that I’ve ever had. It’s definitely an expensive that out, but it’s worth.
