Modus Ristorante es un nuevo restaurante en el Financial District y sirve comida italiana pero, sorprendentemente, nadie tiene interés en llamarla "rústica". Sam Genkov, el propietario del Bravi Ristorante (un favorito del área por 16 años), así como el chef Bruce Woods, quien trabajaba en Brassaii, son quienes se encuentran detrás de Modus. Woods no es ningún extraño en la alta gastronomía italiana, pues trabajó en Il Posto a finales de los años 90 y se convirtió en chef ejecutivo y copropietario de Centro después de quedarse a cargo en el lugar de Marc Thuet. Lovely intimate and quiet restaurant to dine in before heading to the theatre. We shared the trio of dips, caesar salad, and pork and bison meatballs. Everything was delicious. The server (I wish I knew the gentleman's name) was very attentive and such a nice man. I was mostly impressed that the wine list was predominantly Ontario wines! As we were leaving, I commented to the bar tender about the wine list and the food and beverage manager just happened to be there. He said it was deliberate to offer mostly Ontario wines and I thanked him. Buy Canadian!

We had a very enjoyable dinner. The food was delicious and the restaurant was nice and quiet. It’s the perfect ambiance for catching up with friends. Will definitely be back!
