Callie represents Chef Travis Swikard's debut solo project after spending a decade working alongside the esteemed Chef Daniel Boulud in New York City. The restaurant’s name, "Callie," comes from the Greek word "kallos," meaning "the most beautiful," and embodies its blend of Mediterranean cuisine with local ingredients and terroir, from sea to land from San Diego, Swikard's hometown. In 2022, Callie was acclaimed as one of America's top new restaurants by Esquire and Robb Report, and received both a Bib Gourmand and a Plate from the Michelin Guide. Callie is a dedicated supporter of Feeding San Diego, having contributed over 1 million meals to those in need in San Diego since its launch. Tom Hams is a great all around restaurant. Parking is plentiful & free. The view is amazing. Our server Ricardo was so attentive. He was asking us about what we needed before we could even ask him. And most importantly - the food is reasonably priced and delicious. We started with appetizers - calamari, Brussel sprouts and cauliflower. All were yummy. And our entrees were great too. I had the paella (they subbed out the mussels which I appreciated). The other ladies were happy with their selections too (yellow fin, raw bar & scallops). Just a great night!!!!

A coffee speakeasy, the first in San Diego? What a great concept. It’s hidden, you’d never think it would be where it’s at. Added some fun to our morning adventure. It’s super cute, food, pastries and drinks were amazing, top notch service. I’m already booking my next visit.
