- DDebbieVIPChicago / Illinois •6 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoGreat food. Our waitress was fabulous….i noticed she first checked the wine glasses before giving them to the bartender to fill to make sure they were clean. Bolognese was delicious and substantial. Loved my trout that had an abundance of vegetables .More infoCafe TouchePrice: Moderate• Bistro• Edison Park•4.7
- JJanaChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoWe really enjoyed our meal at Anelya and will definitely be back! We had Lokshayna, Poltava Halishki, Holubsti, Pampushki, a couple of appetizers, quite a few drinks, and two slices of cake (we ended up sharing a lot between 4 of us, I definitely should have ate less). Personally, I don't think the appetizers are worth it. I'd get the Pampushki or another side (I want to try the Banosh) instead of those but we only got two so maybe others are great. Cocktails were delicious but likely small pours, so if you just love a beautifully delicious cocktail and not as focused on the effect get one, but if looking for an effect maybe drink a bit before or after the meal elsewhere. The mains were incredible with the Lokshayna and Poltava Halishki being my favorite! The desserts were also very very good. We'll definitely be back! Next time we'll share a couple of mains, try the grits, and maybe more Pampushki depending on what we order. We'd also share cake, both the layered honey cake and boozy cherry (less boozy tasting than a lot of boozy desserts which both myself and one other at the table considered a good thing) we're delicious! Our server was also fantastic!More infoAnelyaPrice: Expensive• Ukrainian• Avondale•4.7
- LLaurieChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe enjoyed the tasting menu. Portions are reasonable. The preparation is inventive and delicious. This was our third visit and we’ve never been disappointed. I follow a gluten-free diet and the staff always graciously helps with determining my options while the rest of my family can enjoy the wonderful pasta and bread available.More infoAnteprimaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Andersonville•4.9
- KKristinChicago / Illinois •10 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoBeautiful space, attentive service, and THE FOOD! The food was so flavorful and my husband, who has celiac disease, was thrilled that he could order anything on the menu (except the beer). The New Orleans-style menu is inspired. I had the catfish and grits and my mouth and tummy were so happy. My husband had the chicken and beignets waffles. I thought he was going to cry when he bit into that fried chicken because it’s been soooo long since he has had GOOD gluten free fried chicken. It’s hard to find a place that is truly celiac safe so we will definitely be back. CheSa - thank you for your safe and delicious food. Keep doing what you’re doing!More infoCheSa’s Bistro & BarPrice: Expensive• American• Bucktown / Wicker Park•3.6
