Good food Good time. You cannot put a price on a good time

The food at Heirloom is always delicious and healthy whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. We have eaten at Heirloom many times and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. Occasionally the service while very courteous, can be slow and the noise levels can sometimes be higher than ideal on the weekends. In spite of this, Heirloom is our go to place to eat in New Haven and we recommend it highly.

Food was good. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and pleasant. It was a little louder than I thought it would be but we were close to the bar. The tacos and salmon sliders were great. Their drinks were really good too.

I’ve been to the original Barracuda and always enjoyed the food and drinks. I saw on Social Media that the moved to a new location. My wife took me for my birthday. The food was still delicious but I was a little bummed out the removed some of my favorite items off their menu. I still had some good food besides the Vegan Tostones. Those were a miss for me, the veggies lacked seasoning. My biggest disappointment were the drinks. I had 3 margaritas and they all tasted virgin. That was a big let down. I understand there’s a measurement, but I should still be able to taste the tequila. Nope, just felt like drinking a fancy juice. I didn’t stay long. Paid the bill and went elsewhere for drinks.

Despite offering reservations in the “Bar” area. The bartender said “I know what it says online but we don’t do that”. Despite this, they did find a table for us to sit at and were accommodating when our party unexpectedly grew.
