We turned up early and were shown to our table and quickly ordered drinks and food. The chicken liver pate was delicious but I was disappointed to be served two slices of what looked like pre cut lamb, it definitely didnt looks like it had been cut fresh from the bone. My husband had the chicken was a generous portion and he really enjoyed it. I had the Eton Mess for dessert which was again OK but was 80% cream with a bit of fruit and a ready made meringue nest. Will come again but just felt a little like it was catering for tourists and not providing top quality / fresh Sunday Roasts.

This has to be one of best hotel experiences we’ve had in many years. The spa was fantastic. The 1215 restaurant was 10/10 but what made it for us was the staff throughout the whole hotel. We felt so welcome and looked after. Our only negative was the general prices of the breakfast and lunch (Greens), which were massively overpriced and need the be looked into, as it was too much for what we had. Apart from that, a lovely experience!
