This neighborhood gem is my 'go to' for MANY occasions -- whether a get together with an oold friend over a quiet lunch, a festive evening celebration of birthday or other events. the food is terrific, ambience like few other places these days...and the food AND service consistently excellent, (the servers very genuinely warm, responsive, and personal.. -- we had both Thelma and Jose waiting on us today..we had the risotto (just gorgeous) and the salad barbetiole (beet salad) with grilled shrimp -- both perfect.. lunch came to 30 a piece without drinks..but beyond worth it.. and i love what they did with the decor of the old 'Hotel Mac' --transforming a somewhat stale stodgy place into an airy, elegant place for all occasions.. Baincoverde has become not only a favorite of those of us who live in Point Richmond, but for many others...well worth the drive over.

Our server Jian was amazing! He was humorous and kind and made our entire dining experience a memorable one! He went above and beyond and I enjoyed having him take care of us. I know this was no reflection of the restaurant experience however I feel that it’s worth mentioning that the valet experience was terrible. When we pulled up there was no greeting or offering of assistance. The attendant stayed behind the desk until I got out of the car and walked up to the podium for assistance. As this is the first experience where a hotel guest or restaurant patron is welcomed, this left a lot to be desired. Feel free to pass this on to whomever!
