Their friendship and working relationship, which has lasted over 20 years was so successful, they decided to pool their resources and stake a claim in downtown Napa's expanding culinary scene. Their aim was to create their own version of classic world cuisine in a comfortable space where family and community could gather for any occasion. Chef Hakan is a second-generation baker who learned his craft in his uncle's bakery in Istanbul. His love for baking started out with making pastries and sourdough bread at first. Hit by a pizza obsession later on, similar to Anatolian flatbread, Chef Hakan studied, experimented, and observed various pizza-making methods. The staff was very nice and attentive. We never had to wait or flag down someone to ask anything. The staff was knowledgeable especially the bartender. If they didn’t know they would promptly ask someone and get back to us. They also made sure we knew prices so we weren’t surprised when we got our bill which we greatly appreciated. We would definitely come back. The miso black cod was our favorite.
