Best Authentic Restaurants in The Gramercy

There were 4 of us, we enjoyed the calamari & the zucchini chips for appetizers. The chips are delicious and a BIG hit!!! The seasoning that is put on them combined with the yogurt made them the go appetizer on the table. My wife had the salmon and "it is the best I have ever had" and trust me, my wife eats salmon almost every day. Our guests had the scallops & the chicken, both were outstanding. It was our guests first excursion to Elia and as he said the scallops alone was a great reason to revisit Elia again. I had the lamb chops which were a little disappointing, the flavor was good, but the individual chops were at least 25% fat which didn't leave a lot of meat for consumption. We finished with the yogurt, honey & walnuts which is by far my favorite for it's simplicity. We will be back Our server Loyanna did a great job as well.

Food was wonderful. The Eggplant Parmesan was beautifully prepared. Sliced thin and not over sauced. The calamari was tender, Lasagna was a hit with my granddaughter and my daughter said the Canneloni with Bechamel sauce was the best she ever had.

This is our go-to Mexican restaurant. The food is excellent, the service is superior, the ambiance is unique, and the margaritas are highly recommended. Go there!
